Good morning, and Happy Hanukkah Stillwater!
The day after Christmas used to sadden me when I was a kid. I used to think, "Christmas is over, and it's as far away in time as it can possibly be." Now that I'm older, I'm honestly a little relieved. Shopping time is over. Time to use that saved-up PTO and relax a bit before 2025 hits. Either way, I hope you and yours had a lovely day.

Cool Cars and Hot Coffee 🚘☕🍩
Do you or a little person you know have a love for cool cars and fresh donuts? Swing by Cars & Coffee at KICKER this weekend. This event is hosted by the Stillwater Car Club and the KICKER Audio Team and is totally free, including the coffee and donuts. Stick around for the raffle at 1:30 PM for a shot at some sweet prizes too.
Do you own a sweet ride? You can bring it along and show it off! (Just don’t get too revved up—no burnouts or racing, please.)

Whether you’re there for the cars, the coffee, or the Instagram-worthy photos, it’s gonna be a wheel-y good time.
Attention big-hearted hunters: did you know that you can help feed hungry locals through the Hunters Against Hunger program?
Here’s how it works. If you have a deer you would like to donate, bring it to Pioneer Processing and Taxidermy and for a $10 donation to help with processing costs, they’ll get the meat donated to Our Daily Bread.

There’s still some time to decide. Of course you can stay in (we have a strange 12+ year tradition of getting pizza, drinking bubbly and watch a LOTR movie) but if you’re wanting to go out on the town, here are some swell options:
Don’t stress about the kids staying up too late–have them celebrate at 1 PM instead! StillyArts is hosting an epic New Year’s Eve party just for kids, featuring face painting, blacklight canvas painting, games, a bounce house, and a photo booth. Prizes and a balloon drop at 2 PM. 🎈

After months of preparation and tireless fundraising since July, they announced on December 19th that they’ve hit their ambitious $1 million goal. Since there was no trash pickup on Christmas day, the weeks of Christmas and New Year's normal trash, recycling, and yard waste pick-up will be delayed a day.
Lakeview Rd is closed for drainage repair from Harthford St to Dryden St (right in front of the Goodwill store across from the Walmart Neighborhood Market) just east of Perkins Rd. The city expects it to be open by Jan 3.
