What’s the best place to get coffee in person in town? Aspen, Balanced, Persimmon Hill Bakery? McDonalds?

Reason I ask was I’d love to buy you a cup. Y’all have been so kind with your feedback, but I only know your email addresses! And I know you’re more than just that 😄. So I'm buying coffee from 9-11 AM Saturday, November 1st. Come say hi. It’s good to do things in person ya know! And I’d love to meet some of you!

Let me know below where you like to get your brewed bean beverage of choice:

I’m not planning on giving an impromptu public speech (you’re welcome), it’s just coffee and talk. I'll be the one nervously checking my phone to see if anyone actually shows up 😅.

I'll announce the winningest coffee spot next Thursday 👀. But now let’s get on with today’s letter!

Reader love: “Appreciate all the info! Stillwater is the smallest city we have lived in and we never know what all is going on. Until your newsletter! Thanks!”

RANDOM ᝰ.ᐟ

😎 I haven’t made it over there yet, but The Broke Cowboy, a new restaurant in Cushing, is probably going to do it.

🙏 Government shutdowns are no bueno. I found this great resource: Be a Neighbor that has a directory of services for food, housing, health and lots more. If you or someone is going through tough times, this could be a great resource. Ourdailybreadstillwater.org is always there too.

THANKS!

Thanks for reading the Stillwater Lokal Life today. If you found something good, share it with someone likes big band music.

P.S. As you’re reading this (if Thursday morning) I’m on my way to the big apple, NYC. It’s been ten years since my wife and I lived there and it’s a pilgrimage of sorts. Amber loves the seasonal shops in Bryant and Union Square parks. I’m going for the food 🙂 I’d bring you all back a Tompkins Square Bagel if I could, but alas. Any bakers in Stillwater want to copy those here…please? 😅
