Community breakfasts and family fun nights
A new “RANDOM” section at the end ᝰ.ᐟ
I got an email from the Payne County Extension office this week that surprised me. The American cattle herd is pretty small right now. In fact, the last time America's cattle herd was this small, we were fighting World War II!
They submitted an article explaining what it means for beef buyers. The short version is beef isn’t getting cheaper anytime soon. Maybe those Chic-Fil A cows were right all along 🤔
Reader note: “I love this Newsletter, I feel like I know more about what is going on. great job, keep it coming.”

What a great name for a club by the way. I created one in my high school physics class and named it the MENS club. The administration didn’t like it, until I told them it was an acroynm for “Minds Engaged in Natural Science” (which I made up on the spot). Then they okay’d it….Anyways, back to the newsletter…

😎 Scientists recently invented contact lenses that detect infrared light. Your eyes could one day see in the dark!
📀 I went down an off-beat 80’s music rabbit hole earlier this week and made a playlist. Maybe you’ll like it?
THANKS!
Thanks for reading the Stillwater Lokal Life today. If you found something good, share it with someone who hasn’t watched Hocus Pocus.
P.S. One of my favorite Halloween movies is The Ghost and Mr. Chicken with Don Knotts. I used to watch it with my grandma Mary when I was a little kid. What’s one of your favorites?
P.P.S. I didn’t know you could use vegetable oil or petroleum jelly to seal the edges of a carved pumpkin to keep it moist. Apparently a little bleach with some water helps keep the molding back too!
