This Week's News & Events in Stillwater

Good morning, Stillwater!

Loyal reader Kathie Tanner emailed me Monday:
Stillwater back to normal, lots of folks out shopping today with the crowds of visitors gone. From what I heard everyone had a great time too.

I hope y’all had a blast of a weekend and got your taxes in on time. (Shoutout to Mark Gunkel and his team—they were awesome to work with.)

And a huge thank you to the many people who took that survey last week. It was eye opening for me! 👀 (results at the end). I want this newsletter to serve you better, so I’ve made a few changes today. Like them? Hate them? Let me know below.👇

In today’s edition:

  • Art festivals, farmers markets & plant sales 🌱

  • Fun, 5, and 10K runs for you runners 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

  • Getting rid of your garage gremlins (hazardous waste)

  • Easter events for your littles 🐣

Let’s get right to it!

Nancy’s on Main in Perkins isn’t fancy dining, nor is it fast food—but it will be memorable (in a good way)! Nancy and her family serve up pizza, pasta, pastries made right in the store. If you go on a Friday night you will likely catch Bobby who plays live piano—perfect for a date night (he is out this week though for Holy Week obligations).

My wife drove down twice to get their spiced sweet potato cheesecake (because it was that good). They also have gelato, baked goods, and the place smells of warm pizza dough.

It usually takes people a while to find us but they're glad when they finally do!” says Nancy. Mention this ad and get 15% off a house-made cookie or scone.

It’s worth the trip (or two). 😊

Scramble Answer: BOOMER LAKE

For the curious, here are the results from the survey:

Clearly the winner is the What’s Up section. Got it! I’ll focus more on that.

To my surprise, the Grocery Price tracker and Adopt a Pet were tied for #1 least liked sections. I’ve dropped them from today’s letter. We’ll see if they pass the scream test.
