🏠︎ Lokal Life Letter #21
Emergency Drill this Saturday, Relief charity auction, Plays, Loads of Live music

Good morning, Stillwater! If I could stand on the street corner this morning and wave a sign to you this morning, it’d probably say:
“You’re doing better than you think. Keep going. 😊”
In today’s edition:
Ways to show support to Stillwater’s first responders (and have a great time doing it!)
Mini-pancake food delivery now open 🥞
Loads of Live music 🎸
Down to four mutts! 🦴
Let’s get into it.
– Nate Cheever
Sponsored By Town & Gown Theatre
This Pulitzer Prize–winning play follows the Magrath sisters as they reunite in small-town Mississippi—dealing with ailing relatives, broken dreams, and one very dramatic shooting. It’s funny, a little messy, and full of heart (kind of like family).
Directed by Cindy Sheets, the show runs April 3–6 & 10–13. Evening shows at 7:30 PM, Sunday matinees at 2:30 PM.
🎟️ Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for students/seniors.

WHAT’S UP IN STILLWATER
We’re at the Final Four! 🐶
Let’s give a round of appaws for the dogs that made it to the final four: Bruno, Finn, Prince Walter, and Zeus. Each round has been so hard, like trying to choose between my children. 12 cute dogs have already been eliminated. And this time next week we’ll have our top pooch crowned!
Here are the voting round schedules (totally free to vote, just incase you didn’t know):
Final Four Voting 🐾: Thursday, 3/27, through Sunday, 3/30 11:59 PM
Championship Voting 🏆: Monday, 3/31, through Wednesday 4/2 11:59 PM
What if you woke up in your mom’s body? Or your kid’s? 😬 🎭

Stillwater Strong Benefit Concert 🎶🔥
The live music scene is about to explode (my Local Live Music section) this weekend. Over 40 musicians and bands are coming together this weekend for a two-day music fest to support the fire departments and auxiliaries who stepped up during the recent wildfires.
It’s like a musical buffet! $25 per person tickets gets you access to all the concerts and a catered family picnic at The Twelves on Sunday. (The Twelves and Bad Brad's BBQ are family-friendly venues 👍).
Later on Sunday evening at 6PM, The Salty Bronc is doing a live auction with items like:
4 man duck hunt with lodging 🦆 Orange Peel Tickets 🟠 Boys From Oklahoma tickets 🎫 Tumbleweed Calf Fry VIP tickets 🎟️ Signed guitar from Cody Canada 🎸 Artist photographs by Tom Harris 📸 $1000 catering package from Bad Brad's BBQ 🍖 Aesthetician packages and more!
If you’re more the silent type, you can also participate in their silent auction too.
All proceeds benefit those who helped battle the blazes and keep Stillwater safe. Grab your ticket here 👉 tix

All our Jazz! 🎷
I love good Jazz, especially pre-1967 Jazz, the kind you could dance to. And we’ve got a solid lineup of Jazz happening soon, in high-school performances, outdoor festivals, and recital halls. Maybe we’ll get that chance to dance soon, even if just tap-dancing in our seats.
