🏠︎ Lokal Life Letter #20

This Week's News & Events in Stillwater

Good morning, Stillwater! So glad you are all here. In times like these, someone once said, we can be broken or be broken open. The amount of desire to help, donation efforts, coordinating, volunteering, and giving from all parts and walks of Stillwater has been amazing—a testament to the quality of this community and how we really care for one another. All over Stillwater I see “Love thy neighbor” in action.

SLL readers left me some ideas last week! Stephanie suggested I try to include events happening a little farther out in time to give readers time to plan. And Ival requested fewer Facebook links. I’ve tried to implement these where possible in this newsletter. Let me know if y’all like the changes! And thanks as always for the feedback🤜🤛.

In today’s edition:

  • It’s time to vote for Stillwater’s favorite mutt 🦴

  • Where you can learn about making cheese and yogurt

  • The Tag Ladies are at it again! 🏷️

  • Places for flowers fixes

Thanks for being here.

🎥 AMC 10 is planning a sensory-friendly screening of Minecraft: The Movie, which is expected to be released on April 4th. This means a theatre experince more like at home: lowered volume, dim lighting, no trailers, and more freedom to move around, make noise, or just relax. Are they onto something? Should they do more showings like this?
